Terms and Conditions

Students must have a valid NYS issued permit (or driver’s license) for all lessons and must be present during your driving lessons.
Packages must be paid in full before the day of the first lesson

Please be aware that for packages that include the road test service, your last lesson in the package MUST be taken the day of the road test, NO exceptions. Your driving instructor will pick you up an hour before your road test, unless otherwise specified.

We require a 24-hour cancellation notice or notice of address change for pick up. If you cancel less than 24 hours or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will not receive a refund of that service and must pay in full to reschedule. *If you call our office after hours and do not get an answer, please leave a detailed message.
If you plan on getting picked up or dropped off at a different location than what you had scheduled for (provided it is within Rockland County) you must notify the office at least 24 hours in advance.

Scheduling a lesson

Lessons are not automatically scheduled for the same time slot every week; you must book each of your lessons through our website - https://www.danadriving.com/booking. Alternatively, you may call our office to book your appointments.
If you are late for a scheduled appointment, you will only receive the remaining time of that allotted appointment slot. If your instructor is running late for an appointment, he/she will still give you the full hour you are entitled to.
You may not bring a child or person under the age of 16 with you for your lessons. Please be sure to make arrangements for childcare ahead of time. If the instructor shows up for your scheduled appointment, and you have a child with you, you will be declined the service and will be charged full price for that appointment.
If you require a translator for your lessons, you may bring them along for the lesson provided they are over the age of 16.
Wearing a mask will be up to the discretion of each individual instructor. If you prefer for your instructor to wear a mask, please let staff know when you book your appointment.
All of our instructors are trained and certified professionals. We ask that you conduct yourself in a professional manner during your lessons while you are behind the wheel. If at any point your instructor feels their life or yours are in danger, they may decline to proceed with instruction and drive you home, and you will forfeit that appointment with no refunds.

We are NOT notified by the department of motor vehicles about a road test appointment made by a student, we are a separate entity. This means that if you schedule your own road test appointment, you MUST notify our office if you plan on taking the test with your instructor. **We will do our best to fit you into our schedule. If we cannot work with the time and date that you schedule your road test appointment, you must reschedule your appointment or forfeit the road test service in your package. We will allow you to take the last lesson in your package prior to your road test date, provided there is space in our schedule.

**It is your responsibility to make sure you have proper documentation the day of your test. Please bring the following:
- Valid NYS picture permit, with no expirations or restrictions. You will not be allowed to take your road test with ANY expirations or restrictions.
- Original 5 hour course certificate, which expires one year from date taken. A picture will not be accepted by the road test inspector.
- If you lose your 5 hour certificate you may stop by our office (provided the class was taken at our office) and receive a duplicate certificate for a charge of $20. Please have your permit with you and an approximate date class was taken.
- Certification of supervised driving for any student under the age of 18. You can print a copy by going to dmv.ny.gov and search for MV-262 or you may ask your driving instructor for one as well as stop by our office and we will provide you with one. This must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian before the day of your test.

Refunds for unused individual services, lessons or packages are permissible for up to 60 days from the date of purchase. Requests for refunds must be performed and approved in writing. Refunds for packages will be prorated based on what has been used from the package. All refunds are subject to a 10% or $10 Service Fee (whichever one is greater). There is a non-refundable processing fee of 4% for card payments.
You will not be refunded for any unused lessons/services after you have taken your road test. It is your responsibility to make sure all lessons are complete before taking your road test.
Refunds are given in the original form of payment. Refunds for cash payments will be given in the form of a company check.
Packages are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Please be sure to use up any services before the one year expiration date, or you will forfeit any unused services.
